Since you came

There is a place where you only go once
But your footprints remain forever
You've walk into my heart
And you are invited to return
Again and again

What drove me was my pain
To overcome it, to suffocate it, I kept going
Breaking through any kind of walls
And I never had anything to lose
Never had anything to call mine
With empty hands I could smile and say
See, I still enjoy life without a reason
For that inner fire burns, always
It's stronger than anything in the universe

But since you came
I have a reason, and I have proof
This burn is not just my own
How fascinating to watch that life sparks in you
And there is nothing I fear anymore

Do we have time, or the options
I don't know, but this memory is
Enough fuel for a blazing life
Just by myself even...
